The hospital was  founded by Doctor Lin Cheng Ching in 1932  and is regarded as one of Taiwan’s great private hospitals.

  The original hospital (Ping Tien branch) occupied three hundred beds and was located  downtown next to the Chungsun park, while the newly high-tech, high-touch hospital （ so-   
   called Chung Kang   branch ）provided   seven  hundred beds   with thirteen  disease-managed
  centers, stands at the  door of Taichung  Industrial District.
